Helping Small & Mid-Size Businesses Stay Compliant, Reduce Risk, and Protect Profits
Hello, I’m Orlando Monteagudo. For over 30 years I worked inside some of the largest financial and tax organizations in the country, including the Florida Department of Revenue, the IRS, and Deloitte & Touche. My work ranged from auditing small businesses to reviewing high-net-worth individuals and corporate entities.
Along the way, I discovered something important: most small to mid-size businesses don’t fail because they lack ideas or customers — they fail because compliance and financial oversight get overwhelming or out of hand.
This blog exists to change that.
Here, I share practical guidance, insider tips, and tools that help business owners and financial decision-makers:
- Stay compliant without drowning in red tape.
- Reduce audit risk and prepare with confidence.
- Build stronger financial foundations for growth.
Whether you’re an entrepreneur worried about a compliance audit, a controller trying to keep clean books, or simply someone who wants clarity in a complex system — this space is for you.
My mission is simple: to make accounting and compliance audits less intimidating, so you can focus on running and growing your business.
